LIVE AT THE 100 CLUB POSTER SERIES
Every winter, I get to team up with London’s legendary The 100 Club on a series of posters for their end-of-year underplay series. Each year brings a brilliant line-up and with it, the slightly terrifying (but very fun) challenge of coming up with a design theme that can somehow wrangle a whole bunch of different genres, artists and vibes into one cohesive visual world. Equal parts exciting and formidable.
I’m endlessly grateful to the team at the venue for giving me such an incredible amount of creative freedom, and for continuing to provide such a brilliant platform for my work year after year, although I'm sorry that people always tear them down and steal them off the walls!
It’s always a pleasure, always a challenge and never, ever boring.
2022
2022’s series took a trip into the world of mythical creatures. The snow creeping across each poster marked the slow shift into winter as November gave way to December, while the sun subtly arcs its way across the sky from poster to poster.
There are a few little Easter eggs hiding in there too, most notably the seven arrows in each subject, my classic ‘43’ signature (four arrows on the left, three on the right).
The limited colour palette and consistent layout seemed to hit the sweet spot with both the venue and fans, giving the series its own visual identity and, as it turned out, laying the foundations for what would become an annual collaboration.

2023
2023 kept some of the visual DNA from the previous year, but pushed the idea further by playing with the way the posters would work on social media, particularly the satisfying little carousel swipe and the way multiple posters could sit together side by side.
Each poster became a carriage of a crazy, carnivalesque steam train, turning the full series into one long, rolling visual journey. This was also the year of the first ‘compilation’ poster, featuring the venue’s beloved Stan the dog taking the controls and driving the train.
The real challenge was making sure each poster could work as part of the bigger picture while still having a strong connection to the artist playing that night. So, alongside the overarching, cohesive theme, each carriage had its own little nods and references to the respective acts.
2024
2024 saw me get by with a little help from my friends.
With the mammoth task of nearly 30 posters to produce, I called on some of my favourite illustrators and artists to help bring this one to life. The series took inspiration from the wonderfully weird game of ‘Exquisite Corpse’, with each artist drawing a head, a torso and a pair of legs, without knowing what the others had created.
I then got to rearrange all those bits and pieces to create a few dozen beautiful monsters. The fun but tricky part was trying to make each creature feel like it belonged to the music of that particular night.
We also exhibited every monster as a framed artwork, with the pieces auctioned off and hundreds of pounds raised for Medical Aid for Palestine.
A huge thank you to the 100 Club team for trusting me to pull this slightly ridiculous idea off, and an even bigger thank you to all the brilliant artists who lent me their heads, bodies and legs:

2025
2025 saw me fly solo once again, whilst also bringing back the social media carousel swipe from poster to poster. This time, each piece became its own little stretch of street, packed with clusters of buildings and tiny details to discover.
The whole thing was primarily inspired by the very street the 100 Club sits on, mixed with a gritty vintage comic book style. It felt like the perfect theme for sneaking in references, visual jokes and little Easter eggs connected to each artist and their songs.
The result was a series that worked as a whole when swiped through side by side, but hopefully gave each poster enough going on to reward anyone who stopped for a closer look.
